Marie-Pier Langelier Vice-President, Strategy and Risks

Marie-Pier Langelier has been Vice-President, Strategy and Risks at the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) since March 2024. In this role, she leads the teams responsible for strategy- and risk-related activities in support of the organization, including strategic planning, integrated risk management, innovation and digital transformation monitoring, coordination of the organization’s domestic and international activities, government relations, and the activities of the Office of the Chief Economist. Ms. Langelier also coordinates the Office of the President and CEO and internal communications.

From August 2023 until her appointment as Vice-President, Strategy and Risks, Ms. Langelier was Executive Director of the Office of the President and CEO of the AMF. Prior to joining the AMF, Ms. Langelier worked for the Government of Québec for over 25 years in several strategic positions. She fulfilled various roles at the Ministère du Conseil exécutif, including for more than 10 years at the Secrétariat aux Priorités et aux Projets Stratégiques.

Ms. Langelier served as Director of the Office of the Deputy Minister of the Conseil du trésor from 2013 to 2017. In addition, from 2017 to 2018, she held the position of Director General of the Office of the President and CEO of the Société québécoise des infrastructures, where her responsibilities included communications and strategic planning. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of Retraite Québec until her appointment by the Conseil des ministres in October 2018 to the position of Associate Secretary General of the Ministère du Conseil exécutif and Head of the Office of the Secretary General of the Conseil exécutif and Government Coordination.

Ms. Langelier holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and also completed studies in law. She is currently completing the university certification program in corporate governance offered by the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés.
