Tanya Sirois, member Capitale-Nationale Region

A member of the Pessamit Innu First Nation, Tanya Sirois is Executive Director of the Regroupement des centres d’amitié autochtones du Québec (RCAAQ). In this role, she advocates for the rights and interests of Indigenous citizens so they are empowered and can participate in their development within a fair and equitable society. Under her leadership, the RCAAQ has made significant strides in terms of the recognition of Indigenous realities and relevant public policy making.

Tanya Sirois holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Laval University (2004) and a master’s degree in public administration from the École nationale d’administration publique (2018). She has also completed the university corporate governance certification program at Laval University (2024) and is a certified corporate director (ASC).

She has more than 15 years of experience in management, public policy, and governance.

Tany Sirois currently serves as a socio-economic member of the Board of Governors of the University of Québec, a member of the Board of Directors of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and chair of the Société immobilière du RCAAQ.
