Jean Dagenais, member Montréal Area
Jean Dagenais, who holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sherbrooke University and membership in the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés, is a public accountant (CPA) who has acquired more than 40 years of experience in finance, particularly financial performance reporting, including more than 30 years managing teams of finance, tax, financial analysis and regulatory capital professionals for a major Canadian bank.
Mr. Dagenais was a member of National Bank’s senior management until December 2022. He joined the bank in 1990 as Director and Chief Accountant. He was promoted to Vice-President and Chief Accountant in 1997 and Senior Vice-President, Finance in 2007.
Mr. Dagenais also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He sits on the boards of Temps d’Aide Chez Soi and the Canadian International Organ Competition and is board chair of Quatuor Bozzini. He has also been board chair of the Centre de liaison sur l’intervention et la prévention psychosociales. In 2022, Mr. Dagenais completed the ICD–Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto) Directors Education Program at McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management.
Mr. Dagenais was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors effective December 1, 2023 for a four-year term.
