Marie-Claude Beaulieu, member Capitale-Nationale Region
Marie-Claude Beaulieu, full professor of finance and RBC Chair in Financial Innovations at Laval University, is recognized for her expertise in the areas of empirical finance, derivatives, futures contracts, asset pricing and corporate finance. She holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree from Queen’s University and is a regular member of the Centre interuniversitaire sur le risque, les politiques économiques et l’emploi.
Ms. Beaulieu has many years of experience in corporate governance, including as chair of the board of directors of the Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC) and chair of the governance committee of the Canadian Depository for Securities (CDS). She has also acted as treasurer for the Société québecoise d’hypertension artérielle du Québec (SQHA) and president of the Société canadienne de science économique. She sits on the University Council of Laval University.
Ms. Beaulieu was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors effective July 31, 2023 for a four-year term.
