Manon Débigaré, member Capitale-Nationale Region
Manon Débigaré, an actuary by training, held numerous high-level positions in her 33-year career with Desjardins General Insurance Group (DGIG). From 2016 to 2023, she was its chief risk officer, a member of its executive committee, an officer, and a member of the management committee of Desjardins Group’s Risk Management Executive Division.
Ms. Débigaré was instrumental in repositioning DGIG in its market, which led to the acquisition of the Canadian operations of State Farm, a transaction that doubled the organization’s size. Other achievements included obtaining approval for and initiating a major, multi-hundred-million-dollar insurance systems modernization program, developing an R&D vision for actuarial services and creating a business intelligence centre of excellence.
Ms. Débigaré has been a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) since 1993. She has been a member of La Maison des leaders since 2012 and is a management coach. She also volunteers her expertise to various non-profit organizations.
Ms. Débigaré was appointed to the AMF’s Board of Directors for a four-year term on December 11, 2024.
