The purpose of this document is to remind representatives, independent representatives, firms, independent partnerships and their partners of certain obligations related to the offering of insurance products by certified representatives in partnership with automobile and recreational and leisure vehicle dealers in Québec.
Firms, independent partnerships or independent representatives are required to have professional liability insurance. They must also establish that every representative acting on their behalf without being an employee has liability insurance that is consistent with the requirements determined by regulation.

Electronic signatures are not prohibited under the AMF framework. Registrants must, however, ensure that the insurer’s internal guidelines permit their use.
