The Autorité des marchés financiers, through its Corporate Finance branch, is responsible for the application of the securities legislation related to corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions involving Québec public companies. The AMF reviews the various corporate finance documents (prospectuses, circulars, offering memorandums, reports of exempt distributions) as well as those related to take-over and issuer bids, and processes exemptive relief applications relating to the above matters.
