The AMF offers three ways to submit information so it may intervene more quickly, reducing the impact of offences and breaches on the financial markets, victims and the court system.
Reporting suspicious situations
Anyone can report a situation by completing a form.
The AMF may also launch an investigation if it has reasonable grounds to believe a breach has been committed under a law it administers.
Self-reporting and Cooperation Program
This program offers potential sanction relief for individuals or legal entities that self-report through the voluntary disclosure of offences or breaches they have committed and/or that cooperate fully with an investigation into their activities.
Whistleblower reports
Whistleblowing is when an individual (a whistleblower) reports information to the AMF that may prove a breach has been committed under a law administered by the AMF. The AMF takes all necessary steps to protect the anonymity of whistleblowers. The law prohibits reprisals against whistleblowers.
