Superior Court dismisses Bertrand Lussier's appel

Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders Securities

Montréal - On June 14, 2012, the Honourable Marc David of the Superior Court dismissed from the bench Bertrand Lussier's appeal of his sentence, affirming the judgment handed down by the Court of Québec which ordered him to pay $121,000 in fines.

In January 2011, Bertrand Lussier pleaded guilty to 23 charges of making misrepresentations to the Autorité des marchés financiers (the AMF), pursuing illegal practice as a dealer and making illegal distributions. On November 28, 2011, Court of Québec Justice Marie-Josée Hénault ordered him to pay $121,000 in fines.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (the AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
