Freeze order extended against Cogetax

Montréal – At the request of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the Bureau de décision et de révision en valeurs mobilières (BDRVM) extended for a period of 90 days the freeze order that had been issued against Cogetax, Yvon Laroche, Jean-François Laroche, Johanne Lévesque, Yvan Barrette, Groupe de consultants de BASL inc. and Groupe BASL en équité inc.

The freeze order was also extended on May 18, 2006. On February 10, 2006, the BDRVM issued a freeze order against these respondents in connection with illegal distributions made without obtaining a receipt from the AMF for a prospectus in accordance with section 11 of the Securities Act and without being registered with the AMF as a securities dealer or adviser, thereby violating section 148 of the Act.
