AMF adjusts its annual and other fees
Insurance Public Contracts Money-Services Businesses Deposit institutions Organization Securities
Montréal – As of January 1, 2019, the annual and other fees payable under the laws administered by the Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) will be adjusted.
The adjusted fees are set out in three notices published in Part 1 of the Gazette officielle du Québec This link will open in a new window and in section 1.1 of the AMF Bulletin dated December 20, 2018 (Vol. 15, No. 50). This information will be available on the AMF website via the Regulations and obligations page, in the Fees and costs payable to the AMF section under each Act administered by the AMF.
Fees prescribed in the laws and regulations below are adjusted by operation of law on January 1 of each year pursuant to the Financial Administration Act This link will open in a new windowIndexation corresponds to the annual change in the overall average Québec consumer price index without alcoholic beverages and tobacco products for the 12-month period ending on 30 September 2018..
- Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services
Fees in respect of the examination of a distribution guide prescribed in the Regulation respecting distribution without a representative will be adjusted by 1.71% as of January 1, 2019. - Securities Act
Fees payable under Chapter II of Title VI of the Securities Regulation will be adjusted by 1.71% as of January 1, 2019. - Act respecting insurance, Deposit Insurance Act, Act respecting trust companies and savings companies, Act respecting financial services cooperatives
Fees payable under the Regulation under the Act respecting insurance, the Regulation respecting the application of the Deposit Insurance Act, the Regulation under the Act respecting trust companies and savings companies and the Tariff of fees exigible under the Act respecting financial services cooperatives will be adjusted by 1.71% as of January 1, 2019. - Derivatives Act
Fees payable under the Tariffs for costs and fees payable in respect of derivatives will be adjusted by 1.71% as of January 1, 2019.
Fees prescribed in the laws and regulations below are adjusted based on the rate of increase in the general Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Canada for the period ending September 30, 2018.

Fees payable under the Regulation respecting fees and contributions payable will be adjusted by 2.2% as of January 1, 2019. - Money-Services Businesses Act
Fees and tariffs payable under the Regulation respecting fees and tariffs payable under the Money-Services Businesses Act will be adjusted by 2.2% as of January 1, 2019. - Act respecting contracting by public bodies
Fees payable under the Fee related to an application for authorization filed by an enterprise with the Autorité des marchés financiers for public contracts and subcontracts will be adjusted by 2.2% as of January 1, 2019. - Voluntary Retirement Savings Plans Act
Fees and costs payable under the Regulation respecting fees and costs payable for the issuance of an authorization under the Voluntary Retirement Savings Plans Act will be adjusted by 2.2% as of January 1, 2019.
