Securities Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders
Montréal – At the request of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the Bureau de decision et de révision ("Bureau") handed down several orders on May 10, 2010 against Matthew Scott Sinclair, a former officer of @rgentum Management & Research Corporation.
The Bureau's orders prohibit the respondent from benefiting from any exemption and from carrying out any activity in respect of a transaction in securities (other than in one personal RRSP account) for a period of 10 years. Under the orders, the respondent is also prohibited from acting as a director or officer of a reporting issuer for a period of five years and subsequently from acting as a securities adviser.
The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) also issued a decision prohibiting Matthew Scott Sinclair from acting as a director or officer of a reporting issuer, from trading in securities, other than in his own RRSP, and from benefitting from any exemption.
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
