Reporting Complaints: A New FAQ

As announced recently, financial products and services companies regulated by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) have been required, since July 1, 2005, to report complaints received from consumers and do so according to certain criteria. To assist companies in the application of the new rules, the AMF has published a new FAQ.

In January 2005, the AMF and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) embarked on a joint initiative to co-ordinate and harmonize the requirements for complaint reporting.
