Réal Ouellette Pleads Guilty

Montréal – Réal Ouellette has pleaded guilty to seventeen counts brought against him by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF). Judge Léopold Goulet of the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division), in the judicial district of Longueuil, ordered him to pay a fine of $85,000, plus $1,250 in costs.
Mr. Ouellette, who was the president of 9059-6073 Québec inc. (Logi-Tech), was accused of assisting the company, through an act or omission, with the distribution of a form of investment subject to the Securities Act without having a prospectus approved by the Commission des valeurs mobilières du Québec (now the AMF).
The Autorité des marchés financiers is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
