Project Bronze - Orders lifted

Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders Securities

Montréal – Further to the decision by the Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) not to institute proceedings against the persons concerned by various orders issued as part of Project Bronze, the cease trade, freeze and suspension orders were lifted on June 7, 2019.

On July 18, 2016, the Financial Markets Administrative Tribunal refused to extend the ex parte freeze orders issued on March 22, 2016 against Nathalie Bensmihan. The AMF’s appeal of this decision was subsequently dismissed by the Court of Québec. On October 31, 2016, the Tribunal approved an agreement under which the AMF lifted the cease trade order against Ms. Bensmihan and removed her as a respondent.

The Autorité des marchés financiers is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
