Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") has launched penal proceedings against Dimitrios Platanitis and is seeking a $10,000 fine.

Dimitrios Platanitis is charged with making a misrepresentation to the AMF in February 2012 in connection with activities governed by the Securities Act, namely, in the course of a corporate takeover, pertaining to the balance sheet of a company and his own personal balance sheets for 2010 and 2011.

The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
