Migüel Caron fined $14,300

Montréal – In a decision handed down on November 17, 2008, Judge André Perreault of the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division), district of Montréal, allowed the guilty plea entered by Migüel Caron on the 11 charges brought against him by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) and ordered him to pay a fine in the amount of $14,300.
Migüel Caron pleaded guilty for:
- failing to disclose, within the prescribed 10-day period, a change in his control over the securities of Lyrtech inc., a reporting issuer of which he is an insider, thereby violating section 97 of the Securities Act, with reference to section 174 of the Securities Regulation.
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
