Montréal – In a decision handed down on October 14, 2008, Judge Gilles Garneau of the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division), district of Montréal, found Louis N. Bélanger guilty on the 6 charges brought against him by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), and ordered him to pay a fine of $6,000 plus costs.

Louis N. Bélanger is guilty of:

  • failing, as an insider, to report, within the prescribed 10-day period, a change in his control over the securities of the reporting issuer Lyrtech Inc., thereby violating section 97 of the Securities Act, with reference to section 174 of the Securities Regulation.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
