November 3, 2008 Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders Insurance

Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) issued a decision on October 17, 2008 in respect of Les Services financiers RSL inc. under section 115 of the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services (the "Act").

Under this decision, the AMF has withdrawn the registration held by Les Services financiers RSL inc. in all sectors for which it is registered because no representative is attached to the firm.

Under section 82 of the Act, a firm may act in a given sector only through a representative.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
