Le Groupe Mathieu Turgeon inc. and responsible officer fined

March 31, 2015, the Bureau de décision et de révision (the "Bureau") has approved an agreement entered into between the Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF"), the firm Groupe Mathieu Turgeon inc. and its responsible officer, Yvan Mathieu, according to which Groupe Mathieu Turgeon inc. and Yvan Mathieu agree to pay a $20,000 penalty and to comply with various conditions due to breaches of An Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services.

More specifically, the breaches noted during an inspection by the AMF related to the supervision of representatives attached to the respondent firm, including the supervision of a representative whose registration required close supervision and the statements made to the AMF to such effect.

The firm has agreed to replace the responsible officer and to set up control and supervisory measures to ensure that its representatives comply with the Act and its regulations.

Yvan Mathieu has agreed not to act as a responsible officer for two years and not to act as the supervisor of another representative for the next three years.
