Securities Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders

Montréal – On March 7, 2017, Judge Marie-Josée Hénault, Justice of the Peace of the Court of Québec, district of Longueuil, ordered Isabelle Comeau to pay fines totalling $25,000.

This decision is further to a penal proceeding launched by the Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) in 2012. Isabelle Comeau was charged with six counts of aiding with a distribution without a prospectus. On March 7, 2017, she pleaded guilty to five of the charges after the AMF withdrew one of them.

Judge Hénault ratified the parties’ joint recommendation and imposed a fine of $5,000 per charge, for a total of $25,000.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
