Illegal practice as an insurance representative - AMF charges Harold Mongrain and Réal Fiset

Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) has launched penal proceedings in the judicial district of Gatineau against Harold Mongrain and Réal Fiset relating to illegal practice as an insurance representative.
More specifically, Harold Mongrain is facing two counts of illegal practice as an insurance representative and Réal Fiset has been charged with two counts of aiding Mr. Mongrain in acting as such.
Each of the respondents is liable to a minimum fine of $4,000 if found guilty of the charges brought by the AMF.
The Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
