Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") has launched a penal proceeding in the judicial district of Longueuil against François Dumouchel The respondent François Dumouchel should not be confused with claims adjuster François Dumouchel, who is attached to GME Experts en sinistres inc., holder of certificate no. 111 376, and is not affected by this proceeding. and related companies 9165-5514 Québec inc. and Les Placements NSDQ inc. for illegal practice as a securities dealer and illegal distributions. The AMF is seeking $203,000 in fines.

The investigation revealed that François Dumouchel solicited various acquaintances or their firms for the purpose of investing through him or his two companies, of which he was the majority shareholder and mastermind. Although some investors were reimbursed by François Dumouchel or his companies, approximately $175,000 was lost in this matter.

The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
