Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF") has launched a penal proceeding, in the judicial district of Québec City, against Steve DuchaineThe respondent Steve Duchaine should not be confused with Steeve Duchesne (certificate No. 172700), who holds a certificate in insurance of persons and group insurance of persons., who has held registrations in insurance of persons, mutual funds and as a dealing representative.
Steve Duchaine faces six charges, namely, three counts for pursuing illegal activities as a securities dealer, two counts for making illegal distributions without a prospectus and one count for making misrepresentations related to a securities transaction. If found guilty, he faces minimum fines totalling $28,000.
The Autorité des marchés financiers (the AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
