Illegal Practice as Claims AdjusterGilles Dufresne fined $3,500
Insurance Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders
Montréal - On May 25, 2016, Justice of the Peace Jean-Georges Laliberté of the Court of Québec, district of Saint-Jérôme, ordered Gilles Dufresne to pay a fine of $3,500.
Mr. Dufresne previously pleaded guilty to the charge brought against him by the Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") for illegal activities as a claims adjuster.
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
