Distribution without prospectus and illegal practice as dealer - Daniel Boivin found guilty

Montréal - On January 16, 2014, Judge Serge Cimon of the Court of Québec found Daniel Boivin1 guilty on seven counts of aiding with a distribution without a prospectus and seven counts of illegal activity as a dealer. On February 14, 2014, he ordered him to pay a fine in the amount of $100,000.

Daniel Boivin distributed shares of Compensation vie d'Amérique to three investors for a total value of $49,000.

In October 2012, Daniel Boivin was fined $10,000 in another matter involving illegal distributions. As well, in October 2003, he was struck off the roll for a period of 10 years by the Québec Commission des valeurs mobilières.

The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
