AMF reaches agreement with Joneldy Capital Inc., Les Investissements Archipel inc. and Jonathan Lehoux

Organization Securities

Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) announced that it has reached an agreement with Joneldy Capital Inc. (Joneldy), Jonathan Lehoux and Les Investissements Archipel  inc. (Archipel) to place Archipel's cash operations under the supervision of an independent accountant for a period of two years.

The accountant, who will be approved by the AMF, must ensure compliance of the continuous disclosure documents prepared by Joneldy, a securities adviser with an unrestricted practice.

This agreement is further to the issuance of an erroneous quarterly report to certain shareholders of Archipel, who are clients of Joneldy. While the respondents admitted the facts, the AMF took into consideration certain attenuating factors, in particular that Jonathan Lehoux acted quickly to rectify the situation and co-operated in the investigation.

Under the agreement, an administrative penalty of $20,000 must be paid to the AMF.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
