AMF call for applications: business community representative for executive committee of AMF-Finance Montréal Fintech Research Chair

Montréal, June 5, 2020 – The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is seeking a business community representative to serve as an industry specialist on the executive committee of the AMF-Finance Montréal Fintech Research Chair and thereby round out the committee.
Created in 2019, the Fintech Research Chair is a multidisciplinary and interuniversity research unit that offers to develop cutting-edge foundational and practical knowledge about the issues and impacts of technological innovations in the financial sector, commonly known as fintech. To fulfil its mission, the Fintech Research Chair and its partners will issue calls for research projects to all members of Québec’s scientific community who are interested in fintech.
The executive committee’s responsibilities include approving the Chair’s annual plan, budget estimates and annual activity report as well as the research projects and related budgets proposed by the scientific committee.
Individuals interested in joining the executive committee are asked to send their CV and cover letter to [email protected], indicating “Response to call for applications, Fintech Chair - executive committee” in the e-mail subject line. Applications will be forwarded to the AMF and Finance Montréal for assessment. The deadline for applications is July 31, 2020.
