Triglobal - Freeze order renewed

Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders Securities

Montréal – In a decision issued on July 17, 2008, the Bureau de décision et de révision en valeurs mobilières (BDRVM) extended for a period of 90 days the freeze order issued against the following firms and individuals: 2967-9420 Québec inc., 4384610 Canada inc., 4190424 Canada inc., Themistoklis Papadopoulos, Anthanasios Papadopoulos, Angela Skafidas and Mario Bright. A freeze order was initially issued against them on January 24, 2008 in the matter of Triglobal.

On July 3, 2008, the respondents filed for a discontinuance, thereby confirming the orders issued by the BDRVM on January 24, 2008.

Hearings in connection with applications for a partial lifting of freeze orders and the provisional administration in respect of 4190424 Canada inc. and 4384610 Canada Inc. are under way.

On December 21, 2007, the BDRVM, further to recommendations from the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), ordered Triglobal to cease any activity in respect of a transaction in any form of investment governed by the Securities Act and any activity as a securities adviser. On January 24, 2008, the BDRVM also ordered the provisional administration of companies related to Triglobal and issued a number of cease trade and freeze orders, including in respect of the companies and individuals mentioned above, again further to AMF recommendations. Numerous other freeze and cease orders have been issued against Triglobal as well as related companies and individuals.

Jean Robillard of the firm Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton has been acting as provisional administrator in the matter of Triglobal since December 24, 2007, further to a recommendation from the AMF and the BDRVM and his appointment by the Finance Minister.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
