As an active member of the Governance and Compliance Subcommittee (GCS) of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) invites the insurers doing business in Québec to complete the Survey on Corporate Governance of Insurers jointly prepared with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) available at the hyperlink below:

The questionnaire must be completed directly on the IAIS website and replies sent to the IAIS to the email address mentioned in the procedures.

The insurers and trade associations are invited to complete this questionnaire by 31 October 2008. The GCS and the OECD will analyze responses to the questionnaire in light of the elaboration of an expected joint IAIS-OECD Issues Paper that will explore issues related to the governance of insurers.

The AMF encourages aimed respondents to complete the questionnaire which will result in promoting the implementation of sound and prudent management practices within institutions.
