Sidis Capital Partners, G.P. and Louis-Philippe Gagné - AMF issued call to investors

Securities Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders

Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) is seeking to identify all investors who invested with Sidis Capital Partners, G.P. (Sidis) and Louis-Philippe Gagné.

Orders issued against respondents

On November 11, 2016, at the request of the AMF, the Tribunal administratif des marchés financiers (the “Tribunal”) issued a freeze order on the Sidis brokerage account, preventing the firm from disposing of any funds, securities or other assets.

In its decision, the Tribunal also prohibited Sidis and Louis-Philippe Gagné from acting as investment fund managers and securities advisers as well as carrying on any activity in respect of transactions in securities, except for securities held personally by Louis-Philippe Gagné.

The AMF is asking all persons who invested money with Sidis or who entrusted the management of their funds to Louis-Philippe Gagné to contact Ms. Hélène Guilbault at 1-877-525-0337, extension 2427, no later than February 24, 2017.

The AMF is not issuing any opinion through this news release regarding the grounds or validity for any possible suit brought by an investor against Sidis Capital Partners, G.P. and/or Louis-Philippe Gagné.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
