Montréal – In a decision handed down today, Judge Ronald Dudemaine of the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division), in the judicial district of Richelieu, ordered Réal Forest to pay a total fine of $24,000, plus costs.

Mr. Forest, who is from the region of Sorel-Tracy and formerly pursued activities as an independent representative in insurance of persons, was accused of carrying on business as a securities dealer without being registered with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF). He was also accused of assisting 9059-6073 Québec inc. On June 8, 2005, Mr. Forest pleaded guilty to eight counts brought against him by the AMF.
