Patrick Déry appointed AMF superintendent, client services, compensation and distribution

                                                  Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Déry as Superintendent, Client Services, Compensation and Distribution.

Mr. Déry, who holds a Master's degree in economics, until recently served as Sous-ministre adjoint aux politiques fédérales-provinciales et financières (Assistant Deputy Minister, Federal-Provincial and Financial Policies) at the Québec Ministry of Finance. He has held several other major positions at the Ministry and acquired extensive experience related to the financial industry. Mr. Déry was instrumental in managing the recent financial crisis and its impacts on the large financial institutions operating in Québec.

The current AMF President and CEO, Mario Albert, was appointed to the position of Superintendent, Client Services, Compensation and Distribution in 2007.

TheAutorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial industry.
