Information session on Consultation Paper 81-408 on the Option of Discontinuing Embedded Commissions

The Direction principale des fonds d’investissement (AMF Investment Funds) of the Autorité des marchés financiers invites members of the investment fund industry to an information session to discuss the main elements of the consultation paper on the option of discontinuing embedded commissions. The information session is intended primarily for persons who wish to participate in the consultation process.

This session will take place on Friday, February 3, 2017, from 8:45 a.m. to noon at 800, rue du Square-Victoria (tour de la Bourse), 11th floor (IATA reception area) in Montréal.

Please confirm your attendance by completing the registration form. Anyone unable to attend in person may join the session by telephone and must also complete the registration form.

The AMF will also hold other consultation activities in 2017 in order to gain input from stakeholders and continue examining the issues and questions set out in the consultation paper. Details concerning these activities will be announced shortly.

The main objective of this consultation is to conduct an in-depth review, in collaboration with industry stakeholders, of the potential impacts of such an option in Canada. Throughout the comment period, the AMF will consider the comments and observations of the various stakeholders in Québec and foster an open dialogue.
