Montréal - On June 4, 2015, Justice of the Peace Jean-Georges Laliberté of the Court of Québec, district of Laval, fined Samir Daher a total of $160,000 for pursuing illegal activities as a securities dealer and making distributions without a prospectus approved by the Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF").

More specifically, Samir Daher pleaded guilty to 26 charges brought against him. He solicited investors for the purpose of investing large amounts through loan contracts with himself or various companies, including CCI Investissement inc. He was fined $160,000, double the minimum fine.

A total of 13 investors lost just over $145,000.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF") is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
