Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers (the AMF) has launched proceedings in the judicial district of Roberval against André Bouchard Respondent André Bouchard should not be confused with insurance broker and mutual funds dealer André Bouchard from Alma, holder of certificate 104093, or life and health insurance broker André Bouchard from Montréal, holder of certificate 104095.  and filed 25 charges against him. It is seeking fines totalling $244,000. The AMF has accused him of acting illegally as a securities dealer and aiding in making distributions without a prospectus.

The alleged facts took place between February 2002 and February 2004. André Bouchard acted as an intermediary in respect of investments in various companies and firms for a total of $425,000. Investors lost almost the entire amount.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (the AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial industry.
