August 30, 2012 Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders Insurance

Montréal - On August 20, 2012, before Judge Sean Sirois of the Court of Québec in the district of Laval, Georges Younes pleaded guilty to three counts of illegally pursuing activities as a claims adjuster and was fined a total of $3,000.

The Autorité des marchés financiers(the AMF) accused Georges Younes, director, president and shareholder of 3854671 Canada inc., operating under the names Services Magic Pro & Reno Deco / Magic Pro Services & Reno Deco at the time of the allegations, of acting illegally as a claims adjuster without holding a certificate in this capacity.

The allegations took place between March 2009 and October 2010 when Mr. Younes was mandated to represent insureds who incurred losses affecting their residence or business.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
