Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") has launched a legal proceeding against Solange Poncelet-Leroy and Gilbert Asselin. It has filed three charges for illegal practice as a dealer and is seeking fines totalling $18,000.

The respondents solicited the public for the purpose of investing in Evolution Market Group Inc., which operated under the name Finanzas Forex. Individuals were thus investing in a pyramid-type structure and could themselves become promoters of the network, earning commissions varying from 0.5% to 3.5% of the capital raised from investors.

The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
