Organization

Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF") recently made changes to its Excellence scholarship program under the Education and Good Governance Fund (EGGF). This program aims to encourage master level and doctorate students in Québec universities to continue their studies and research, and strive to become future contributors to the development of Québec's financial sector.

In a spirit of promoting excellence, the following changes have been made to the program:

  • Scholarships at the master level are increased to $8,000 and those at the doctoral level to $20,000;
  • The eligibility and selection criteria have also been refined, notably by increasing the minimum cumulative grade point average;
  • Only candidates whose field of research is related to the AMF's mission will be considered.

"The AMF is proud to recognize the excellence of today's students. This program supports the development of knowledge related to our areas of activity and encourages students to contribute to the development of Québec's financial sector," said Louis Morisset, President and CEO of the AMF.
