Montréal - On June 12, 2012 Gaston Boily pleaded guilty in the judicial district of Chicoutimi to two charges-aiding Coopérative de services aux professionnels de la Mauricie with a distribution without a prospectus and illegal practice as a securities dealer.
Justice of the Peace Réjean Bédard of the Court of Québec ordered him to pay a $6,000 fine for the two counts.
In this matter, brothers Louis-Paul and Jean Pierre Lafond as well as Coopérative de services aux professionnels de la Mauricieand Coopérative de travailleurs actionnaire de C.T.B.T. pleaded guilty in the judicial district of Trois-Rivières in December 2011 to a total of 53 charges for distributions without a prospectus and illegal practice as a securities dealer. They were fined a total of $475,000.
The Autorité des marchés financiers(the AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial sector.
