Clarification regarding penal proceeding against Normand Bouchard

Securities

Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) issued a press release on August 3, 2009 announcing that a penal proceeding had been launched against Normand Bouchard for violating the Securities Act.

The AMF wishes to clarify that the Normand Bouchard who is subject to this penal proceeding should not be confused with Normand Bouchard who is attached to DFS Investments/SFL Investments, the name under which Desjardins Financial Security Investments operates, or with Normen Bouchard of the firm Services financiers Normen Bouchard inc., which has a place of business in Québec City. The latter two individuals are registered with the AMF and are not the subject of any accusation by the AMF.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
