Christine Richème fined $4,000

Montréal – In a decision handed down on March 26, 2009, Judge Pierre Fortin of the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division), district of Montréal, ordered Christine Richème to pay a fine totalling $4,000 further to a penal proceeding launched by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
Christine Richème was found guilty on the two charges brought against her by the AMF for:
- acting as a dealer and adviser without being registered as such with the AMF, thereby violating sections 148 and 202 of the Securities Act.
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
