Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF") is pleased to announce that the popular television personality Guy Mongrain will host C'est votre argent, a series of 12 programs designed to demystify the markets, as well as financial products and services. The series will be broadcast on the Argent television channel starting Monday, January 24, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. It can also be viewed at www.cestvotreargent.ca This link will open in a new window.

Each 30-minute program will review topics such as the ABCs of investing, securities traded on exchanges, financial planning for retirement, financial fraud, derivatives, various types of insurance, support services provided by the AMF and financial matters for young people.

The series is part of the educational initiatives announced in October 2010 by the AMF. The purpose of these initiatives, the most significant since the AMF was established, is to provide Québec investors with easy-to-use, free and straightforward tools so they can make informed decisions on finance and insurance.

C'est votre argent is the focal point of a major financial education campaign made possible through a partnership with Quebecor Media that will be presented in various formats in the coming weeks. These will include information capsules broadcast on TVA, LCN and the Argent channel, the launch of an exclusive website (www.cestvotreargent.ca This link will open in a new window), the publication of in-depth articles in a number of magazines, including Moi & cie, Les idées de Ma Maison and 7 Jours, as well as a monthly column in the money section of the Journal de Montréal and the Journal de Québec.

Guy Mongrain collaborated with the AMF in the Before investing, investigate campaign in the fall of 2009.

C'est votre argent will be rebroadcast on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m., on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. on the Argent channel.
