Cease trade order against 9103-3597 inc. and Éric Grenier
Decisions and Freeze and cease trade orders Securities
Montréal – At the request of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the Bureau de décision et de révision en valeurs mobilières (BDRVM) issued a cease trade order on September 14, 2007 against 9103-3597 inc. and Éric Grenier.
The AMF took action based on the following allegations:
- 9103-3597 Québec inc. and Éric Grenier:
- distributed in Québec, and from a Québec-based office, a form of investment governed by the Securities Act (the “Act”), in particular through the website www.hericom.com, without a prospectus approved by the AMF, thereby violating sections 11 and 12 of the Act;
- pursued activities as a securities dealer without being registered as such, thereby violating section 148 of the Act.
Because of the urgency of the situation, the BDRVM determined it was in the public interest to issue a decision without a prior hearing.
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec’s financial sector.
