AlertAMF urges caution regarding Nagle & Associates Insurance Compagny

Investor warnings - News Insurance

Montréal - The Autorité des marchés financiers (the AMF) is urging consumers to be cautious about the solicitations made by Nagle & Associates Insurance Company and its representatives Ferdinand Blake and Thomas Finley.

The company and its two officers are not registered as a firm or as representatives in personal-lines damage insurance, nor in any other sector with the AMF. Their solicitations and the nature of the products being proposed by them may be violations under laws administered by the AMF.

Nagle & Associates Insurance Company is alleged to have sent documentation concerning an automobile insurance policy underwritten by Jevco Automobile Insurance Company to a resident of Woodbridge, Ontario. The cover page of the policy was signed by Ferdinand Blake as executive director of Nagle's customer service division. The Woodbridge resident also communicated with Thomas Finley of Nagle in writing.

However, Jevco has not conducted any business with Nagle and has no insurance policies in connection with this company. In addition, the address provided on Nagle's website does not exist and the telephone number given to customers is out of service. However, consumers can always obtain a policy through the www.nagle-assoc-insure.com website.

To date, the AMF has not received any complaints from Québec consumers who have done business with Nagle & Associates Insurance Company.

The AMF reminds consumers to check whether the person offering an insurance product is registered in the Register of firms and individuals authorized to practice on the AMF's website. You can also check whether the insurer is authorized to sell its products in Québec in the register of insurers.

The Autorité des marchés financiers (the AMF) is the regulatory and oversight body for Québec's financial industry.
