WHO IS ACTIF?

The Fédération québécoise des coopératives en animation et en formation financière l'ACTIF is a network of seven Québec-based co-operatives. Its mission is to help members acquire financial knowledge and improve such knowledge through training activities based on theory and practice so members can take part in the capital markets in an informed and responsible manner. ACTIF seeks to encourage people to participate more actively and more thoughtfully in retirement preparation and the management of their assets. As well, it aims to assist investors in setting up, developing and managing investment clubs.

AMF HELPS DEVELOP TRAINING PROGRAMS

In April 2005, ACTIF applied for financial support from the AMF through the Fund for Investor Education and the Promotion of Good Governance. Further to an analysis by the review committee, the AMF approved the project and granted financial support for the development of investor training programs. By supporting such projects, the AMF contributes to investor education, which is one of the Fund's objectives.
