AMF launching further penal proceedings against Marie-José Girard for late insider disclosures

Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (the "AMF") is launching further penal proceedings against Marie-José Girard before the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division) for failing to disclose, within ten days of the event, the changes in her control over the securities of a reporting issuer in respect of which she is an insider, namely, Exploration Dios Inc.

Ms. Girard faces five counts of violating section 97 of the Securities Act of Québec, with reference to section 174 of the Securities Regulation. If found guilty, she is liable to a fine of $2,000 on each count.

On September 22, 2004, the AMF had launched penal proceedings against Ms. Girard for failing to disclose, within ten days of the event, the changes in her control over the securities of two reporting issuers in respect of which she was an insider, namely, Exploration Dios Inc. and Ressources Sirios Inc. She faced 34 counts of violating section 97 of the Securities Act, with reference to section 174 of the Securities Regulation.
