AMF cautions investors about solicitations by Hollis Kookmin Financial
Securities Investor warnings - News
Montréal – The Autorité des marchés financiers (the “AMF”) cautions Québec investors about solicitations made by Hollis Kookmin Financial. This business, which claims to have an office in Montréal and is not registered with the AMF, is not authorized to act as a securities adviser or dealer in Québec.
According to the information collected by the AMF, Hollis Kookmin Financial allegedly approached investors and offered, in a persistent manner, to make investments on their behalf that would generate substantial returns. Such practices are similar to those typically used in boiler-room sales tactics. The AMF is concerned that consumers who decided to invest with this business may lose their entire investment.
