$226,500 fine for illegal practice and illegal distributions

Montréal - On September 4, 2014, Judge Hélène Bouillon of the Court of Québec, district of Québec City, approved the guilty plea of Jean-Pierre Beaudry and the joint sentencing recommendation from the parties. Jean-Pierre Beaudry pleaded guilty to 47 charges of aiding with a distribution without a prospectus, pursuing illegal activities as a dealer, providing misinformation and stating that securities would be listed on an exchange. He was ordered to pay fines totalling $226,500.
More specifically, Jean-Pierre Beaudry pleaded guilty to 23 charges filed against him for aiding Central Network Communications and Viropro Inc. with the distribution of a form of investment without an approved prospectus and 20 charges for pursuing activities as a securities dealer without being registered as such. As well, he pleaded guilty to two charges for providing misinformation. Finally, he pleaded guilty to two other charges for stating that the securities of Central Network Communications would be listed on an exchange.
