Under sections 180 to 183 of the Automobile Insurance Act (R.S.Q., c. A-25), each authorized insurer must file his rate manual with the AMF immediately upon its being compiled and, thereafter, within 10 days of any amendment. The rate manual is made up of the documents of an authorized insurer in which his rules of classification of risks and the premiums applicable to each are identified and defined.

Consultation of the automobile rate manuals
The rate manuals are available to the public for information purposes, thereby promoting competitiveness in the Québec automobile insurance industry. These manuals can be consulted by appointment by contacting the AMF Direction, Supervison of Insurers by writing to email@example.com.
